Grooming FAQ

  • We recommend your dog be groomed every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain clean and healthy ears, nails, skin, and coat. Some dogs benefit from more frequent groomer, while others, such as short coats, may need less frequent visits.

  • Every dog is different, but typically to maintain short healthy nails we recommend they be trimmed every 4-6 weeks. If your dogs nails are very long we recommend every 2 weeks or so until they get to a healthy length. We also recommend nail filing, or grinding, as it smooths rough edges and gets nails just a bit shorter. Bonus, it’s easier for your dog. It's important to understand that long nails can do long term or lifetime damage to a dogs paws and legs.

  • We do require a mandatory flea bath for any dog that comes in with fleas. An additional $25+ will be added to the total cost of the groom. We also recommend treating your home and vehicle to prevent any further flea issues. Our routine shampoos and conditioners are designed to help minimize fleas if used on a regular basis for ongoing maintenance.

  • We price our grooming services based on your dogs weight and services needed. We can give you a more clear price when we see the dog in person. If any additional services may be required you will receive a phone call from us right away.

  • We require rabies as per state law but we do recommend you follow your veterinarian’s vaccination schedule to protect your pet.

Scheduling FAQ

  • Schedule your next grooming appointment online! You may call us at 503-684-5074 or text us at 772-303-1147. You may also email us at dogs@fluffd.com.

  • We have text, email, and app notifications set up so that you will receive confirmation of appointments, changes, or cancelations in your preferred method. We ask that you leave at least one of these active so that you also receive reminders 48 hours before your scheduled appointments.

  • We understand schedules change, please give us 48 hours notice when possible for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. We do charge $35 for same day cancelations and no-shows.

  • If we are scheduled out longer than you need please get the soonest appointment available. As spots open up we do call people in when earlier dates open up, but we always begin with people who are already scheduled. You may also ask to be put on the waitlist.

  • We have a $35 no show fee that will automatically be added in the event of a no-show. We need to pay our staff, and when a client no-shows this does not give us the opportunity to fill that time slot.
