Client Agreement

Fluff’d Grooming Client Agreement. This is for the safety of your pet and our team.

  • Vaccination Records

    • Oregon State law requires that all dogs be vaccinated against Rabies.  We simply record the expiration date of your pets rabies vaccine.

    • In the event your pet has a health condition that prohibits it from being vaccinated, we will also accept a written vaccination waiver signed by your veterinarian.

  • Health/Behavior

    • Grooming which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which we cannot be held liable.

    • You agree to disclose any health or behavior issues that could affect the grooming process.  You will be held liable for any bites that require medical treatment and any property damage caused by your pet.

    • If your pet is unable to be groomed safely, we reserve the right to conclude service at any point during the appointment. If rescheduling is appropriate, we will offer it at that time.  Any harm caused by your pet to any person, animal or property is your responsibility.

  • Pricing & Payments: The quoted price of grooming is a base price for dogs on a 4 to 6 week schedule with 2” of coat or less.

    • The groomer reserves the right to charge extra fees for coat condition, handling a difficult pet, or excessive matting.

    • The groomer reserves the right to charge a full coat fee for dogs with excessive coat or for hand scissoring.

    • We accept credit cards, cash, checks and Venmo.  Returned checks will incur a $35 charge.

    • We increase our prices annually to cover our overhead expenses that increase annually.

  • Fleas and Ticks: Dogs with live fleas will be given a mandatory flea bath with a $25/50/75 charge, depending on the dog's size.  Any ticks found that can be safely removed, will be removed up to three, for a $10 charge.  Further tick removal will be referred to your veterinarian.

  • No Boarding: We pride ourselves on only taking one appointment at a time and we do not have the space on the premises to board dogs.  We will text you 15 minutes before your pet is ready to be picked up.

    • Pets must be picked up within one hour of that notification, or we reserve the right to charge a $25 boarding fee.

    • In the event you do not pick up your dog before shop closing, your dog will be boarded off-location and billed $100/night.

  • Cancellation: We require notification of any cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment by 5 pm on the previous business date.  Same-day cancellations may result in a cancellation fee.  Customers with repeated same-day cancellations will be required to prepay for future appointments.

  • No-Show: No-show will result in a $35 no show fee.

  • Matting: In the event of matting, we will try to save as much hair as possible.

    • If we need to carefully shave under the mats, be aware that the process can be painful for your pet, and may result in skin irritation, nicks, cuts, and bruises due to the matted hair pulling on the skin.

    • Heavy matting may conceal pre-existing conditions, such as fungal or bacterial infections.  We will do our best to minimize discomfort to your pet, but we are not responsible for any injuries or medical issues due to this process. In the event that matting is more extensive, the appointment will be put on hold until we discuss with the owner and agree on how to proceed, including being referred to your veterinarian.

  • Delays: If we need to stop an appointment for unplanned reasons, we will not be able to proceed until we can have a discussion with the owner.

    • If there is a delay in our call being returned we may not have time to complete the appointment as planned.  We will do our best to accommodate any delays, but the appointment may need to be rescheduled for another day.

  • Injury: In the event of an emergency, we will contact you and if necessary, take your pet to the nearest veterinary office for treatment.

    • In the event you are not able to be contacted, Fluff’d Grooming will act as your agent for the care of your pet.

    • All vet expenses will be the responsibility of the pet owner unless injury is due to direct negligence of the groomer.  We will not be held responsible for any sickness or injury caused by the pet to itself during grooming, or any accidental death of the pet due to a pre-existing condition or natural disaster.

  • Safety: We will take every precaution to assure a safe environment for your pet.  However, accidents do happen, and you will absolve Fluff’d Grooming and its groomers and staff from any and all responsibility involving injury, escape, damage or disease during and after their grooming appointment with us.  We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so.

  • Inclement Weather:  We generally follow public school closures as they pertain to inclement weather.  We try to work as long as conditions are not dangerous.  If you are unsure, please call us to confirm.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.
